In the last few months I have started to notice a lot of vapers are beginning to get into the knife/EDC scene. Honestly, I expected it to take on sooner. Both communities are driven by the ‘handcheck’ game. The constant rotation of anything metal that can sit in your hand along with the coolest mods you own, I mean who doesn’t love this? With this in mind I thought it would be a cool idea to do a brief look at the biggest knife show in the nation.
Last weekend I attended Blade Show in Atlanta. Some friends and I excitedly packed up and headed down for a weekend ‘mancation’. We were extremely excited. I didn’t get to attend last year because I was at another vape convention sadly. As you would expect, the amount of knives at the show was completely overwhelming. With 900 booths, this dwarfs vaping conventions with the sheer amount of things to look at. If you like knives, EDC gear, or customizing your collections with metal beads and accessories this was heaven. Every knife that I am interested in I was able to fiddle with. Every vendor I spoke with was incredibly hands on, which made the experience even better. Walking up to a $4k knife with the ability to hold it and test the action is such a nice feeling.
